ASIC 'way too big' to be successful

A Senate committee has made scathing findings about the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC), accusing the corporate watchdog of having a 'bad culture' and being too bureaucratic to perform its law enforcement functions. Committee chair Andrew Bragg says ASIC is too cumbersome to operate effectively and recommends breaking down the body.
